The venue for the Leasing Foundation’s Third Annual Conference on 10-11 September 2015 was The Crystal, a sustainable cities initiative by Siemens, at Royal Victoria Docks in London. The conference hosts for 2015 were Siemens Financial Services.
The theme of the conference was Building a Sustainable Future.
At a time of disruption in the economic environment, and when emerging technologies and new business models are changing the nature of business, the leasing and asset finance industry faces the challenge of building a sustainable future. Our speakers, with expertise in many different industries and disciplines, came from entertainment, academia and business and helped us identify, discuss and reflect upon what we need to do today to build our sustainable future.
The conference took the form of a half day of industry retreats, followed by the main conference – a series of short, engaging, interactive talks.
The conference introduced an extended series of industry awards to recognise the contributions of people and organisations who are building the future of the leasing and asset finance industry.
The conference was chaired by Jonathan Andrew, CEO of the Commercial Finance Division of Siemens Financial Services, Founding Governor and Patron of the Leasing Foundation and The Leasing Foundation European CEO of the Year 2014.
The conference programme included:
Thursday 10 September: industry retreats, 02 roofwalk, cocktail reception and dinner
Friday 11 September: a full day of 18-minute interactive talks and the Leasing Foundation Awards 2015 for innovation, diversity, philanthropy and the European CEO of the Year.
