LEASING FOUNDATION WELCOMES NEW GOVERNORS
The Leasing Foundation is pleased to announce that Nils Jaeger (Vice President, International Finance, John Deere Financial), Bret Thomas (VP & Global Business Head, Xerox Financial Services Group), Patrick Jelly (Managing Director, Pitney Bowes UK), Professor Rob Macredie (Professor of Information Systems and former Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Brunel University), Professor Iwan Davies (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation and External Affairs at Swansea University) and John Bennett (Managing Director, Hitachi Capital Business Finance) have agreed to become governors. They join a distinguished group of individuals from across the industry who will join together to help fulfill the Foundation’s mission of philanthropy, research and professional development.
Foundation director Peter Thomas says “This latest addition to our group of governors means we are not only creating a strong presence right across the industry, but also developing our ability to clarify, focus and engage in new thinking around research, education and professional development for the industry”.
The mission of the Leasing Foundation is to support the leasing and asset finance industry by providing focus and organisation for charitable activities, by performing rigorous, challenging and relevant research in areas that impact the industry and its future, and by seeking opportunities to sustain the industry by developing people in the industry. The Foundation is not a lobbying body or a trade association.
Programmes include: LFGiving, events that donate to a range of charities; LFResearch, an annual independent research report shared across the industry; LFWomen in Leasing, to bring together and encourage the development of women in the industry; LFFuture Leaders, to develop the new entrants to the industry; and The Leasing Fellows, an invitation-only community of the leading thinkers in leasing and asset finance.
