Statement from Leasing Foundation chair Mike Randall, on behalf of the board of directors.
It is with enormous sadness that we report the unexpected death of our friend and colleague, Gavin Wraith-Carter, last Thursday (24/09/20) .
As many of you reading this will know, Gavin was both managing director of Hitachi Capital Business Finance and a non-executive director of the Leasing Foundation. While Gavin’s professional contribution to the asset finance and leasing industry is both impressive and certainly worthy of acknowledgement, it was his commitment to helping others and providing a thoughtful sounding board that made him such a valued member of the team, and indeed, friend.
We will remember Gavin as a wonderful individual and will miss his warmth of character and kindness. His death is a profound loss.
We send our deepest sympathies to Gavin’s family, who are in all our thoughts at this very sad time.
