The Leasing Foundation shines a light on women making a difference in asset finance

Celebrating Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day 2025

The Leasing Foundation is once again highlighting women who are leading the way in asset finance. Throughout March it will be sharing daily spotlights on inspirational women in the industry, recognising their work and commitment to this year’s International Women’s Day theme #Accelerate Action.

Last year’s series was a big hit, with industry professionals having some great conversations about representation, leadership and progress. This year it’s happening again, with most women featured nominated by those who took part in 2024 – so a ripple effect of recognition and support.

Helena Thernstrom, Leasing Foundation board member and co-lead for EDI, said: “I am very excited to see this spotlight series repeated as our industry, present and future, has unlimited female talent, skills and experience. Last year’s spotlights were insightful, inspiring and at times moving. This year will be no different. In keeping with our commitment to paying it forward, we have asked those who took part in 2024 to nominate others to participate.”

Georgia Bright, EDI inclusion lead, added: “Last year’s spotlight series showed us just how many incredible women are shaping our industry. It was great to see their stories shared and celebrated. This year we’re building on that momentum. By asking past participants to nominate new voices we’re widening the circle of recognition and getting more women the visibility they deserve.”

Each story will be posted on LinkedIn and X during the month, featuring the women driving change in asset finance. Join in, celebrate and support the women making a difference.

The 2025 IWD campaign theme ‘Accelerate Action’ is “a worldwide call to acknowledge strategies, resources, and activity that positively impact women’s advancement and to support and elevate their implementation. Significant barriers to gender equality remain, yet with the right action and support, positive progress can be made for women everywhere.”

Follow along and join the conversation.
