Disabled people comprise 22% of the UK population but are under-represented in the financial services industry because firms don’t know how to attract these talented candidates, and the candidates find it difficult to know which employers will recognise their experience and qualifications.
The Leasing Foundation, in conjunction with the Finance & Leasing Association is holding an online diversity and inclusion masterclass that looks at the disability employment gap, potential solutions including the Change 100 programme and how progressive employers can get involved.
It will take place on Thursday 23 September 2021 at 2pm and speakers include Julia Grant, Leonard Cheshire; Laura Roberts, Liberty Leasing Ltd and Yasmin Sheikh – TEDx Speaker, Diversity Trainer and coach, Diverse Matters. Melanie Chell, Shoosmiths is hosting the panel.
