About Laura:
Laura Crane is a 29-year-old surfer from North Devon and the first British woman to surf the big waves of Nazare in Portugal. At the age of 12 Laura was immersed into the professional surfing world, as her talent landed her big-name sponsorship, the opportunity to travel and live all over the world at the young age of 15 to pursue her passion.
However, at the age of 21, Laura decided to quit her sponsors and retire due to the fact she was compromising her happiness and mental health when an industry she loved made her put more value in her appearance over her talent.
After some time away from the sport and pursuing other career paths, Laura started surfing again back in her hometown and fell in love with it all over again. This time, she knew what she was capable of and in her first season in Nazare has already been breaking down barriers in the surfing world and making history.
