The Leasing Foundation raises £41,339 for Coach Core in 2025

The Leasing Foundation raised £41,339 for youth charity Coach Core during 2025 through its programme of events and initiatives across the year.

The total included £18,000 which was match-funded in December to unlock an additional £18,000, helping to significantly boost the final figure. Funds were generated through industry events, networking evenings, fundraising activities and wider community support, reflecting a strong collective effort across the asset finance sector.

Coach Core supports young people from challenging backgrounds into work and training, using sport and coaching as a route to build confidence, skills and long-term careers. The charity has now helped more than 1,000 young people take positive steps into employment.

Mel Chell, co-lead of the Leasing Foundation Giving working group, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what the industry achieved together in 2025. Raising over £40,000 for Coach Core is a real testament to the generosity and commitment of our community. The match funding in December made a huge difference and allowed us to maximise the impact of every pound raised. We’re excited to build on this momentum this year and continue supporting the life-changing work Coach Core does.”

Gary Laybourne, CEO and co-founder of Coach Core, said: “We’re hugely grateful to the Leasing Foundation and everyone across the asset finance community who got behind Coach Core in 2025. This funding will make a real difference to the young people we support, helping them build confidence, gain skills and take steps into work and training. The match funding in December was an incredible boost and shows what’s possible when an industry comes together for a shared cause.”

The Leasing Foundation will continue its partnership with Coach Core into 2026 with plans to build on its fundraising programme. The Foundation’s flagship senior leaders’ drinks in February and its annual Summer Party in June will again play a key role in bringing the industry together in support of Coach Core.
