It is estimated that over 500,000 people across the UK have Crohn’s or Colitis, the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease. That is around 1 in every 123 people. At least one person in every medium to large organisation is likely to be living with one of these conditions.
These lifelong and life-changing diseases of the gut are painful, debilitating and widely misunderstood. There is no known cure, and the conditions may flare up unpredictably. However, many people with Crohn’s or Colitis will have long periods when they have few or no symptoms.
Join our webinar to find out how your business can support employees with health conditions like Crohn’s or Colitis.
About this event:
Join us for a free live webinar on 26 February 2024, 1-2pm, to learn how looking after an employee’s wellbeing can benefit employees, their company and wider society.
People living with invisible disabilities and conditions like Crohn’s and Colitis make up a significant proportion of the working age population, yet they face multiple barriers in accessing work, career progression and job satisfaction.
Better awareness, tools and conversations are helping companies better support people living with invisible disabilities and conditions at work.
In this webinar, you’ll discover that companies that recognise the needs of people with invisible conditions can:
- improve the productivity of their workforce,
- lower staff turnover, and
- drive better employee well-being and satisfaction.
Our guest speaker:
Hannah Davies from Crohn’s & Colitis UK will be sharing how not every disability is visible, and how the Crohn’s & Colitis UK programme – Are You IN? – is designed to help employers better support people living with invisible conditions and disabilities like Crohn’s and Colitis at work.
